4 Months Old Aborted Baby Dumped Along Alo Street

RESIDENTS of No.25 Alo Street, Abakaliki have shutdown their shops following an incident of about four mouths old suspected aborted baby dumped along the road on Monday 23rd July,2018.
According to one Mr.Benjamin, a store owner, who is a resident of the area told newsmen that they woke up that morning early to see that passerby stopped and gazed at the particular scene;and when they tried finding out what that could be, discovered a lifeless body of a new born baby.
Mr.Benjamin described the incident as an eye sore and a decadence of lost in morale,whereby,a baby could be aborted and thrown by the roadside like human excrete.
He said " I cannot understand what is going on in the society these days because it seems we have lost our moral values. For a lady to have come out in an open place and dumped a child;I don't think she was on her right thinking,or was she thinking that she wants to defecate,thereby,passing away a whole human being by the roadside and went her way.
"So,it is an eye sore,been that hundreds of people who pass through the street found it very unpleasant and it has attracted a lot of attention.
" I am pleading with the agencies responsible to come and evacuate the decease because the scene has created bad image in the mind of people and that paints bad image to the State.As well, has put the peace of the residents at jeopardy.
However, effort to reach on special assistant to commissioner on environment,proves abortive,whereas,the lifeless body was still at the scene as at the time of filing this report.
