Priest Dies for Another, as He Donates Lifevest During Boat Mishap

It is heartbreaking how some people lose their lives in the process of saving another person’s life. Several cases have been reported over the years but God has found a way to console the families they left behind.
A young man identified as Azubike Okwuoto Imoka has taken to his Facebook profile to share a picture of Rev Father Charles Chukwukelue Ebele, the parish priest of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, Inoma in Anambra state who lost his life trying to save his friend. The deceased was said to have drowned and died after he gave out his life jacket to a friend during a boat mishap.

Devastated over the sad news of the painful demise of Rev Father Charles Ebele, the Distinguished Senator representing the good people of Anambra Central Senatorial district in the National Assembly, Senator Victor Umeh OFR has commiserated with the family of the Lord's Shepherd Rev Father Charles Ebele over the painful loss in what one may described as devastating death. The People's Senator reacted to a post on social media where the sudden demise of the Soldier of Christ was officially reported, he showered encomium on the late Priest on his sacrifice to humanity and asked God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The senator also commended Anambra state Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) on their swift action to rescue and recover both the drowning passengers and corpse on board as soon as the news of the mishap filtered in.
Distinguished senator may your Soul rest in peace Fr Charles. Your selflessness and Priesthood shall obtain for you the Keys to the Gate of Paradise!
