NGO Offers Scholarship to Two EBSU Students, Over Seventy Received Bursary

Two students of Ebonyi State University, EBSU,Abakaliki, on Saturday 15th December, 2018 were awarded with scholarship by non governmental organization, Indigent Care Foundation, Abarigwe.
The event which marked the 9th anniversary ceremony of the home,at Abarigwe in Ebonyi LGA of Ebonyi State under the founder,Prof.Adaeze Nwuzor, has been an annual event which many lives have been transformed among widows,the physically challenged and students not left out.
During the programme, the founder of the home stated that it has become part of her to always celebrate her Christmas on 15th of every December which gave her joy mingling among her fellow widows, though, better than them but,gives her joy that those persons still have hope once they did not give up on God.
Prof.Nwuzor like Mother Theresa stop at nothing to educate among the over seventy students who are beneficiaries of her annual bursary who cut across the four LGAs areas of Ebonyi North zone,stating that having a skill as a student would not only makes you to be indepent but also not depend on white collar job after graduation as not all job that would attract such person considering what he gains on his personal work.
On his part,the Senator representing Ebonyi North Zone Dr.Sam Egwu revealed that one need not to be rich to go to school, stressing that he went to school when life was difficult but always believe in God who has being his helper.
He advised the students to judiciously use the money given to them.
The chairman of the occasion,Prof. Kerian Nwamini Ezike thanked the organizer,Prof.Nwuzor for such initiative advising students to be ambassadors of their institutions.
Other activities of the day were given of gifts to widows, presentation of welcome by students on skills acquisition from Indigents Care Foundation institute, presentation of the cash to beneficiaries and dancing with aged,children by Prof.Nwuzor.
