Ogbuoji Accusing Onu is the Cheapest Blackmail - APC Chieftain

By Victor Nwegede, Abakaliki

APC Chieftain and a Member, Federal Governing Council, Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority, Hon. James Nwite has described the recent words attack on Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, the Minister of Science and Technology as the cause of the APC failure in Ebonyi by Sen. Sonni Ogbuoji,  the APC governorship candidate of the immediate past guber election in the state as the cheapest blackmail.

Hon.  James Nwite made this statement at his residential compound, Amikeaba in Abakaliki Town while briefing newsmen on the recent developments following the just concluded elections in  the state.

According to Nwite, many Ebonyians were subjected to undue stress and worry just because they were supporting the APC guber candidate, who in his words,  caused the innocent souls and worthwhile property of the party supporters destroyed during the electioneering campaign, regretting that the said Sen.  Ogbuoji had never made time to console the bereaved party supporters especially in Izzi  land till date.

He further described Ogbuoji's move to lobbying stakeholders to attack the Minister of Science and Technology as a result of Ebonyi APC candidates' failures in the elections as frivolous and unfounded act.

He noted that the relevant of Dr.  Onu in the country particularly the state APC family speaks volume and however,  alleged that Sen. Ogbuoji is the Judias Iscariot of Ebonyi politics for having failed the party faithfuls in order to satisfy his personal interest.

"Ogbuoji's move to lobbying stakeholders to attack  Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology is the cheapest blackmail of the era.
"His attack on Onu is in fact frivolous and unfounded attempt which will yield no good fruit to him.

"Ogbuoji who has never made himself available for the state APC stakeholders for proper direction especially when his attention is called by the same stakeholders,  has rather chosen to mobilize cabals to devise words attack against Dr. Onu.

"Ogbuoji has forgot so easily that the brain child behind the existence of APC in  this country is Dr. Onu, and Mr President cannot easily forget his contribution to the building of APC family in the country.

"Dr. Onu is a great leader with a difference and he deserves  no attack from anybody", Hon. Nwite said.

The Federal Board Member also cautioned Ogbuoji to stop attacking the elder statesman by any means, wondering why  the APC guber candidate began seeking means to reduce the personality of Onu to the dust after selling his victory to the state ruling party, PDP,  even as he allegedly collected and diverted party funds for his personal aggrandizement.

"After selling his victory to the state ruling PDP, and collected our party funds, diverting all the funds to use for his selfish interest,  he is now eyeing the ministerial position. He can't succeed.

"That is why he now resorts on ways to tarnishing the image of the personality of the Honourable Minister.

"His game-tricks started from his alteration of the primaries' results where and when he selected his cronies to replace the names of the true winners of the APC primary elections", he hinted.

He thus, advised Ebonyians to learn their lessons and shun any kind of violence especially those related to the past elections, maintaining that Ogbuoji had come and deceived Ebonyians,  particularly the party faithfuls for his selfish interest.
