 Ndiebor Ezza-Inyimegu  Community Installed New Traditional Ruler

It is a moment of glamour and glitz as the people of Ndiebor Ezzaenyimegu Autonomous Community enthroned new traditional ruler, HRH Eze Augustine Nwamini Mbam Nwovu to pilot the affairs of the community.


The event took place at the Community Secondary School, Enyigwe in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, under the watch of Oha Izhi Nnodo executives, traditional rulers, elders and other custodians of culture as well as government officials.



Speaking, the president of Oha Izhi Nnodo, who is also the traditional ruler of Nkaleke Echara Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Sunday OKeta, appreciated members of the Community for their show love, unity, solidarity and commitment in selecting and enthroning the new traditional ruler.


The monarch who spearheaded the exercise described it as a welcome development, while saying that HRH Augustine Nwamini Mbam Nwovu is a man of Impeccable character, God fearing, peace maker and hospitality, noted that Izhi clan remains one indivisible entity and can never be divided by political elements of any guise.


However, Eze Oketa called other communities in the clan without traditional ruler to do same, which he said must be in unity and peace accord in line with Oha Izhi Nnodo constitution and prayed God to give the traditional ruler longevity of life good health and wealth of knowledge as he pilots the affairs of the Community.


Also speaking, an elder statesman in the clan, Senator Christ Nwankwo poured an encomiums to the people of the community for living beyond party line.


He said the harmonious selection and enthronement of the traditional ruler was a clear testimony that Izhi clan is still under one umbrella body and advocated for all political office holders in the clan to be under one accord irrespective of political differences and shun politics of rancour and acrimony, adding that there is no kindred dichotomy in the clan according some people’s speculations.


The former Minister of State for Power and Steel, Chief Goddy Ogbaga and the member representing Abakaliki/ Izzi Federal constituency in the house of representative, Chief Sylvester Ogbaga, hailed people of the community for the coronation of the traditional ruler, advised the traditional ruler to persistently respect the honour bestowed on him and work in line with the traditional belief and moral values of Izhi Nnodo as well as exhibit the leadership quality the Community saw in him at all times.



The speaker of Ebonyi State house of Assembly Rt. Hon. Francis Nwifuru and chairman of Special Public Works in Ebonyi State, Architect Edward Nkwegu, congratulated the people Ndiebor Ezza-inyimagu Community, not just for the peaceful process which saw the success of the coronation, but the wisdom in making choice of HRH Augustine Nwamini Mbam Nwovu.


They noted that the new king is a man who has helped many people to achieve success in life and urged members of the community to harmoniously work with him for the overall development of the area.


The State Commissioner for LGA and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Donatus Njoku represented at the event by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr. Isaac Chukwu observed that the method employed in selecting the traditional ruler was a clear indication that Izhi people is united and assured the State Government support when the need arises.


Others who spoke including the Chairman of Izzi LGA, Hon. Paul Nwogha, the chairman of the occasion, Mr. Omogo Simon and the Assistant Secretary of Oha Izhi Nnodo, Prince Andrew Ekpe, poured encomium to the new king and expressed their total support to his leadership while saying they would work in synergy with him to move Community forward.


They also prayed God to give the traditional ruler long life, prosperity and directs his path as continued to pilot the affairs of the community.


Meanwhile, the new traditional ruler HRH Augustine Nwamini Mbam Nwovu, applauded the people of the community for the honour given to him, and also thanked those who contributed in one way or the other in ensuring the success of the coronation.


He assured to run an open door policy aimed at carrying everybody along.
