Member representing Abakaliki/Izzi federal constituency, Hon Sylvester Ogbaga on Tuesday said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will reclaim the position of governorship come 2023.
The national assembly member made this known during the Peoples Democratic Party's local government congress in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.
Ogbaga who described Ebonyi as a PDP's state boasted that the party would reclaim the state considering the trust and love the people have for the party.
"From the congresses we have had, it shows that PDP is a peaceful party that doesn't believe in fracas nor violence in chosen their leaders, hence, all the people that make things happen are all with the party".
"It is clear that everybody in Ebonyi knows that the state is a PDP state and we will not refrain from that because the people trust on the party and that will never be compromise".
The federal lawmaker, however, emphasized that leadership comes from God and maintained optimistic that supporters of the party with the congress have shown their readiness to defend the party.
"Thesame people that brought the person in the saddle of power today in the state will still choose their leader again"
"We should know that no Governor made himself but rather God use people to crown their leader and that people are still in PDP today.
When asked about the unity of leadership of the party, he noted that the presence of all the serving senators and national assembly members were evidence to prove the future of the party in the state.
"To prove to you that our party is still intact; the three senators of the state and the five national assembly members are still in PDP and you should know that has proven that Ebonyi cannot over night become an APGA or APC state.
