AE-FUNAI Partners Afikpo South Council Boss on Development of Community Based Project

Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State has expressed interest to partner Afikpo South Community in promotion of education and other community based projects.
This was made known when delegates from AE-FUNAI led by Mrs Janerita Peter, the Administrative Officer to the Ag Director, Centre for Community and Extension Services paid courtesy visit to Afikpo South council Chairman,Barr Eni Uduma Chima in his office on Wednesday 20th October,2021.
According to the team leader, Mrs Peter explained that the visit became imperative as to attained the vision of the institution which is geared towards impacting all communities in the state.
She commended the council Chairman for his outstanding contributions in the area of human capital development.
Mrs Peter equally emphasized the importance partnership with the council Chairman to ensure smooth and speedy delivery of the project and added that with the university under Prof Elom, that they would soon extend the gesture to other communities across the state.
"We are here today, on behalf of the vice Chancellor AE-FUNAI, Prof Sunday Elom and our Director, Associate Prof Christy Chukwu, who in their vision to ensuring that the university maintains a cordial relationship with communities across the state."

"We believe that with the implementation of our community-based projects in the area of Education, Agriculture, Human capital Development, Sports, Culture, Health, among others. Communities in Ebonyi State will be able to have a good sense of belonging and not abandonment."
"This, we have decided to do by taking the bull by the horn with the implementation of the first phase of our project which will be in your beloved community, Ekoli Edda in Afikpo South LGA."
Responding the Council Chairman, Barr Eni Uduma Chima, appreciated the university for their kind gesture especially in extending their social services across host community and pledged his support to ensure successful implementation of the programme in his area.
The council Chairman while commending the team, equally appealed to them to take advantage of the medical facility which was attracted by Senator sunny Ogbuoji and situated at Ebuwana by making it functional.
"My appeal to the team is that, since are interested in Health sector should look into a medical facility attracted by Senator Sunny Ogbuoji and situated at Ebuwana.
"The health facility has been built, well furnished and equipped but what is remaining staffing, so,let AE-FUNAI Centre for Community and Extension Services help us make it functional for greater relationship and intervention of the health need of our people."
