Congress: Group Warned Against Imposition of Leaders In Ebonyi

Group known as the Ohaziri Mba Renaissance Movement (OMRM) under the leadership of Alhaji Dr Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah, APC Chairmanship Aspirant in Ebonyi State has warned against imposition come this Saturday's State Congresses across the nation in order to safeguard President Muhammad Buhari's administration beyond 2023.

OMRM made the request in a press release endorsed by its national Coordinator, Engr. Emmanuel C. Nwokedi and the National Secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Maina, which was forwarded to us on Friday. The group who commended the APC Caretaker and Extraodinary Convention Planning Committee under the Chairmanship of Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State and his team for their sterling quality to build a more reunited APC family to Nigerians, especially the recent massive defection of eminent personalities into the party from opposition parties. The group noted that since Gov. Buni took over leadership of APC, the party has become a beautiful bride sought by Nigerians across political, ethnic and religious lines. According to the group, findings have revealed that Gov. Mai Mala Buni and his team meant well for APC and therefore, pledged their full support to 'navigate APC to the next expected Next Level.' "We have witnessed a mass exodus of Governors, Senators, House of Rep. members, House of Assembly members, etc; leaving their political platforms to team up with us in APC through Gov. Buni untiring efforts in the APC. "We are not suprised that this much has been achieved considering Gov. Buni's antecedents as party man who knows all the rudiments of party politics and a refined democrat who grew through the right political tutelage to occupy this exalted position. "Gov. Buni's ense of judgement and foresight has led to the stability of the APC. We are confident that our candidate Alhaji Dr Haroun Ogbonna Ajah will emerge victorious and as loyal member of our great party-APC we need to safeguard the legacies and achievements of His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari administration beyond 2023 by the Special Grace of God."
