Ogbaga wins award, as Ebonyi CAN youth holds peace summit

The former Nigeria Minister of state for Power and Steel, Chief Goddy Ogbaga on Thursday won award of excellence as the Friend of the Gospel from the Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN, of Ebonyi State Chapter.


Interacting with our reporter in Abakaliki, Ogabga thanked the organisers of the programme and urged the youths to always be law abiding in the society.


He reminded the youths that they are tomorrow’s leaders and should be conscious of their actions, while appreciating them for founding him worthy of the award.


Akpomiemie blog reports that the  State YOWICAN Chairman, Steven Nwodom said the  Peace and Award Summit was organized to inculcate in the youths, the spirit of peacefulness and hard work.


Mr Nwodom who observed that Nigerian youths have begun gradually deviating from the cultural values and norms in which they were known for, advised them to make reverse by toeing the lines of peace.


“This summit was organised to reorient the youths on the need to stop the killings going on in the country, knowing that youths are always the instruments normally used to perpetrate all these evil," he said.


The Chairman, Southeast Christian Association of Nigeria, Very Reverend Father Abraham Nwali, who was represented by his Vice, Reverend Scamb Nwokolo also advised the youths to always be of good conducts.
