Breaking: Ebonyi APC Factional Chairman Elect Opens Another Secret!

The newly elected Ebonyi APC factional Chairman, Alhaji (Dr)Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah Friday opens another secret as he welcomes the Chairman of the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress and the Executive Governor of Yobe State,Alhaji Mai Mala Buni and his colleagues to the State. According to press statement signed by the Director General of Ohaziri Mba Renaissance Movement (OMRM), political umbrella body of the factional group led by Chief Alex Okemini and made available to our reporter, lamented over the high level of anti party activities exhibited by Ebonyi state Governor, Engr David Umahi and his penchant for sidelining old party members in the affairs of party leadership in the state . The group described as autocratic the plot of the state Governor to force his appointee, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha on the party as its state chairman against the party's constitution. "We want to use this oppurtunity to inform and alert Gov.Mai Mala Buni about the negative activities going on in Ebonyi APC ochestrated by Gov. David Umahi and his anti old APC members stand. "Your Excellency would recall, that on the 19th of November, 2020, you came to Ebonyi State to witness the defection of Engr. David Umahi to our great party-APC during which Engr. Umahi promised you that he will carry the foundation members of the party along in the administration of the party in the face of the resistance and protest letter against him by Hon.(Chief) Chijioke Uwa(Eze Udo) and many others. "We want to state categorically that typical of Dave Umahi who almost every Ebonyians know as a man who has a penchant for reneging particularly on political agreements, has been pursuing a PDP-APGA oriented agenda in the APC by carrying on with his continuous persecution and humiliation of the senior Engineers and Architects in the project team that designed, built and maintained the APC from inception till date as he had been doing to them while in PDP. "The State Caretaker leadership of the APC in Ebonyi is an extension of the Governor's office as the present Caretaker Chairman is serving appointee of the Gov.Umahi on Internal Security and this violates article 17(iv) of the constitution of our great party-APC. "The conduct of the self centred state caretaker committee led to the conduct of separate and parallel Wards, LGAs and State congresses in Ebonyi State during the recent APC excercise. The group further accused the state Governor,Engr David Umahi of plan to make his sibling the national Vice Chairman, South East of the All Progressives Congress as a way to cage the party and sheath democratic system as enshrined in the party's constitution. " The latest of their nepotistic plots is to ensure that the blood brother of Engr. David Umahi becomes the national Vice Chairman Southeast of the APC to cage APC further from moving forward. Chief Okemini blamed the factionalization of the party in the state to the state Governor's autocratic leadership which was geared towards destroying the party for a choice of All Progressives Grand Alliance,APGA, in the forthcoming general election. He, added that the option of Alhaji (Dr) Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah as state party chairman would heal the already battered imagine of the party in the state, thereby, unites it's elders against opposition parties come 2023. "Today, the APC in Ebonyi has become heavily factionalized and disunited owing to the style of the PDP-APGA politics by Gov.Umahi and his followers. We want to alert Gov.Mai Mala Buni of the plot by the ex PDP members led by Engr.Dave Umahi to revive APGA very strongly as a second choice party and alternative option which they hope to embrace fully after successfully destroying the APC in Ebonyi State,God forbids. "Alhaji Mai Mala Buni should disregard the narratives of Engr. David Umahi as regards the crisis in our party-APC because he is the architect of this crisis and hardly keeps political agreements that does not give him 100% satisfaction of his personal interest.
