Izzi Nnodo Youth President Celebrates Christmas At Anmegu Country Home

BY NDUBUISI NWOGHA, ABAKALIKI As part of his yearly obligation to his people, the president of Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum and former Special Assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on Security and Utilities, Ebonyi North zone Comrade Ben Nwovu today organized Christmas party with the elderly people, widows and the vulnerables in Anmegu community, Abakaliki LGA of the state.

According to release made available to newsmen by the aide, Barr Andrew Nwibo said the decision was spurred by the youths' leader averred determination to ensure the happiness of his peopl especially the youths and Indigents ones. In his remarks, the former Caretaker Chairman Abakaliki Local Government Area, and Anmegu born philanthropist, Comrade Nwovu, noted that he was at relax and could have a relaxed mind having fulfilled and touched lives which is his annual mandate. "I have been feeling indebted to all of you because I have not come up with this our yearly party. In our own little way even though, we are no longer in office, we must celebrate Christmas with our people.

"The message I have for you is that whoever that has two, should give his neighbor one. Again, we are approaching the election year; I, therefore, enjoin you to get your permanent voters card as that is the only instrument of warfare come 2023".

In their separate remarks, the beneficiaries of the Christmas largesse including, the Ishi-Uke Mbamnshi Onuvu, Ishi Okoro John Opoke, Chairman Elders council, Chief Christopher Nwojiji and the women leader, Chief (Mrs) Nwankpu Okpoku thanked Hon Ben Nwovu and prayed God to grant all his heart desires. Some of the Christmas gifts distributed includes: phantoms of wrappers,bags of Rice, undisclosed sums of money, live fowls among others
