Breaking: We'll Support Any Political Party Who Gives Izhi Man Ticket-Eze Cyprian Nwekee

The Oha Izhi representative, Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos state, Eze Cyprian Nwekee,(Eze Izhi Gbirim) has said that the choice of the Izhi people on who succeeds governor David Umahi would be determined by any political party who gave people of the clan gubernatorial ticket.
Eze Nwekee stated this in his new year message to stakeholders of Izhi extraction in his country home, Iziogo Inyimagu Community on 1st January,2021.
He noted that the people would only support political party who stick to the equity charter as has been demonstrated since the democratic dispensation by allowing power rotation as such has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the entire state.
"We have given support to many successive government in the state in both human resources and otherwise because of our believe in common unity of our state.
"The era of taking our voting strength to mean, foolish majority is gone and as such; I am calling on our stakeholders to lobby other political bigwigs in other zones as to reciprocate in support for Izhi Man as governor of Ebonyi State comes 2023.
"We will rally round any political party who gives an Izhi man gubernatorial ticket be it APP,PCP and be rest assured that the party will win.
"Izhi people believes in charter of equity and that has formed the base for our call for power rotation to Ebonyi north for the overall interest of the political future of the state.
"As for those who have the intention of betraying or desecrating our land for self gain, be rest assure that Izhi land will pay you in hundred folds.
Eze Nwekee further emphasized on need for the development of rural communities and called on youths to invest in their home town for even development.
He explained that leadership though tasking but only legacies left behind would speak for them and called on political office holders to continue influencing government as to boost rural development across Izhi communities.
Earlier, the Catholic priest of Maria Asumpta Parish, Ndieze Okpoto Rev Fr Obodike Maximus thanked the traditional ruler for his continual promotion of oneness mostly among the youths.
The event featured choir rendition by St Stephen's Catholic Church Iziogo, Ichengara dance among others.
