Recall on an online trending video of one Ekuma Jeremiah, who was seen sharing one hundred naira notes to inmates conveyed at a gridlock in Aja Area of Lagos state until he exhausted the money at hand. Also recall, was an online interview conducted by a controversial On Air Personality,AOP, Daddy Freeze with a Nigeria popular socialite and philanthropist,Mr Obi Cubana who in his illustration pointed out that giving is a state of mind, using the trending video of the street hawker who gave scrupulously as an example and promised to assist Mr Ekuma in his education and possibly offer him better life opportunity.
In the interview, Obi Cubana requested to the public to help him meet with the street hawker who decried that he was not aware that he was been recorded during the incident. He further revealed that he gave them money not because he has enough money since he came from poorest of the poor background but of the thought that he's better than them since he enjoys his freedom and could decide when and what to eat at his convenience. When asked, what spurred him into giving out all the money he made despite the harsh situation of street hawking, the duo explained that he gave out of pity since he is a school drop out whose parents cannot afford to pay his school fees at Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, a condition that warranted him to go into street hawking. He added that it gave him joy when he was sharing money to the inmates who despite his condition better than theirs and maintained that he was shocked when the trending video popped online displaying the gesture before attracted by Punch Newspaper who also interviewed him. However, many Ebonyi indigenes including an Activist, Ambassador Onyibe Jeremiah has called the state government to reach out to Mr Ekuma as to include him in the ongoing King David Medical Science University,Uburu scholarship scheme recently announced by the Ebonyi State Government in their intense to capture 222 students in the 36 states and Federal Capital City, Abuja.
