Buhari Meets APC Founding Fathers In Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari Meets APC founding fathers ahead of the party’s national convention at the residence State House.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with founding fathers of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the state house. While details of the meeting are yet to be clear, it is speculated to be part of deliberations ahead of the party’s national convention on Saturday. Those at the meeting included Presidential aspirant, Ahmed Tinubu, Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari; Kaduna Governor, Nasir el-Rufai; Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni, Minister for Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnia Onu among others. Senate President Ahmed Lawan had also announced that the APC has agreed to produce consensus candidates and the party is expected to put out a ‘Unity List’ by Friday ahead of the national convention. Meanwhile, the APC has announced the schedule for the convention.
