YPP Inaugurates Ward Executives, Insists On Zoning

As the 2023 general election draws closer, the Ebonyi State chairman, Young Progressive Party (YPP), Deacon Oyibe Stanley has inaugurated 171 executives who will be piloting the affairs of the party in the various wards of the State, saying that the party would adopt zoning system in their activities as it reduces political crisis.
While Inaugurating the coordinators in Abakaliki, the state party chairman challenged them to see their positions as a call to service, and advised them to rise to their responsibilities to deliver the party come 2023 elections in the State.
He commended President Mohammadu Buhari for signing the new electoral law, saying it is a stepping stone to advancement of democracy in Nigeria.
He said that the electoral law was an opportunity for any political party to win in an election even the opposition parties and expressed hope that in due time the national assembly would also pass bill that would grant Local Government autonomy to improve democracy in the country.
Deacon Onyibe who hinted that the era of politics of rancour and bitterness have gone, admonished politicians especially those presently serving to prioritized on the welfare of the people they are representing to boost their wellbeing and development.
He reiterated the commitment of the party towards embarking on massive employment of youths, improvement of workers welfare, among others if the party clinches into power come 2023 election and attributed the rising security challenges in the state and country at large to bad leadership and social harassment, while calling on youths to massively join the party to right the wrongs in the state.
On the purported suspension of YPP by IPAC in their recent election in the State, the party chair mocked the leadership of the council, describing their act especially that of SA to the Governor on IPAC and Labour Matters as an act of foolishness and dead on arrival.
However, the State women leader of the party, Mrs. Nwali Ijeoma urged women to massively participate on the ongoing voters card registration and revalidation exercise to enable them vote credible leader of their choice during election.
Highlights of the event was the inauguration of the thirteen Local Government Areas party executive.
