Just In: Crisis Loom As Court Sacks Ebonyi PDP Chairman

--Reinstates Silas Onu as new chair By Our Correspondent The Federal High Court sitting at Abuja Wednesday ruled that Joseph Onu Silas takes over from Mr Toochukwu Okorie as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ebonyi state.
The ruling, which sacks Tochukwu Okorie, the incumbent Chairman was delivered by Justice A. Abubakar on Wednesday. Following the outcome of the PDP Chairmanship election that brought in Okorie, Silas, who emerged second, sought redress in court.
Reacting on the development, the state Peoples Democratic Party Publicity Secretary, Nwoba Chika Nwoba, on his official social media page confirmed the sack and said the immediate ousted state chairman has filed for an appeal. Nwoba hinted that the ruling only affected the position of the state chairman and not the entire executive committee members. According to him, " The federal High Court in Abuja today sacked the chairman of PDP in Ebonyi state, Chief Toochukwu Okorie, and ordered that Barr. Silas Onu be swored in as chairman. "Currently, the sacked chairman is filing an appeal". "The ruling only affected the position of the chairman and not the entire executive committee".
