Ebonyi Information Chapel Backs Mbam For NUJ FinSec

By Nwogha Ndubuisi, Abakaliki Members of Ebonyi state Ministry of Information on Tuesday declared their support for Pacesetter Israel Ekene Mbam, Publisher of People's Guide Newspapers as the Financial Secretary Nigeria Union of Journalist Ebonyi state Council.

The ministry gave the assurance during the consultation visit of team"Pacesetter Israel 4 Ebonyi NUJ 2022" at the Cabinet Office, Government House Abakaliki. Speaking during the visit, Mrs Ebere Orogwu lamented over the ill treatment meted on the members of the chapel and appealed to pacesetter Mbam to help correct the abnormalies when he finally emerged for the position.

Earlier, the chapel chairman, Miss Lucy Anyim thanked the team for coming to identify with them and assured him of their support.

Also, Mr Daniel Akpu frowned upon the abuse of members right who despite being graduates of Mass Communication are badly treated and advised him not to deviate from the set goals by influence of council's cabals after his emergence. Others who spoke during the visit are, Mr Ewa Nworie, Miss and others commended Pacesetter Israel Mbam for declaring interest to contest for the position.
