He called on Nigerians and Ebonyians citizens to draw lessons from the resurrection of Christ by ensuring that they sacrifice Greek gifts of political prowlers in ensuring that true leaders are elected come 2023.
According to him,"IT MAY SEEM LIKE OUR HEADS ARE BURIED IN REPROACH BUT WE'LL YET RISE: Easter Goodwill Message by Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh
"Dear fellow Ebonyians,
"I heartily felicitate with you on this auspicious occasion of Easter Celebration.
"The Christian Faith, all over the world, finds its apex and climax in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ following His suffering and death for the Redemption of humanity.
"Consequently, I find in it the two most fitting messages for our Nigeria of today, especially for us as Ebonyians.
"First, at a time like this when we are faced with gross socioeconomic instability, amounting to high unemployment rate, severe poverty, high level insecurity, and the despairs thereof, the Easter celebration is here to reinvigorate our hope for the lights that surely lie ahead of these dark caves.
"It may seem as if our heads remain buried in reproach but we'll yet rise!
"Secondly, the events that culminated to Jesus' triumphant Resurrection reminds us that every sustainable victory or freedom is preceded by a Prize; be it from hunger, social injustice or from oppressive governance.
"This Prize is about the sacrifice which all of us must make if we must break out of the many "graves" that hold us down as a people.
"It is about the delayed gratification to which we must all commit ourselves, especially in choosing our leaders come 2023.
"It is more particularly about refusing to collect "peanuts" from desperate politicians who prowl around during elections, seeking to mortgage our future and that of our children unborn.
"It is my prayer that as we wine and dine in this festivity, we may find fulfilment and courage in spreading love rather than hatred, even as we await the brighter day that lies shortly ahead of us.
"Thank you and God bless Ebonyi State!".
