Guber 2023: Izhi Clan Will Produce Next Governor in Ebonyi — Sen Egwu

The former governor and senator representing Ebonyi North District, Dr Sam Egwu has pledged to support Izhi Clan to produce next governor in the state come 2023.

Senator Egwu disclosed this at his country home in Ngbo Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state, when he received third time 2023 Senatorial nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) purchase to him from Izhi group led by Mr Victor Nwoke. Senator Egwu said to Izhi clan that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has zoning arrangement in national and state level, therefore, it’s turn of Izhi people to produce next governor of the state according to equity and fairness. Sen. Egwu also urged all among the eight governorship aspirants contesting from Izhi clan to sit and dialogue together on issue of picking one person to run governorship come 2023. ” As long as I am alive, I will continue to support Izhi people to produce the next governor; what's due to us will not be taken away, because God has said it. He added, “I know all among the 8 contesters are qualified to run for Governorship position but one person shall be pick, we will pick a person who have Izzi interest in heart, there is already educational and economic challanges in Abakaliki but Izzi man will correct it for interest of poor masses include both women, youths.
