Wike Storms Ebonyi, Dares Umahi To Name His Contractors

By Alo David, Abakaliki Rivers State governor and presidential aspirant under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barr Nyesom Wike Friday 22nd April,2022 challenged umahi to name contractors of all his projects.

Wike who said he's making himself available as a qualified candidate who would defeat All Progressives Congress come 2023 general election said the party is ready to rescue the country from its economic and security quagmires. The governor who described APC government as satanic said that what the opposition party needed at the moment is a candidate that would win election which according to him,if given the ticket would defeat the ruling party. Wike while addressing delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party in the party secretariat in Abakaliki during his tour urged them to give him their fifty percent votes. The presidential aspirant who boasted that he owe his party alot as all he had achieved in his political career was given to him by the PDP, vowed to never abandoned the party. He further boasted "Let me tell you the truth, nobody can intimidate me because I am not like those who after they have eaten will run away and join other party and I want everybody to hear me very well. My colleague David Umahi; hear me very very well, PDP had sleepless night to make sure you win your election but you took the people's mandate and go to another party, if you know you are strong, resign and contest in your new party and know if you will win the election. "So, I am not of those that will rise and turn back on his party. we'll continue to fight injustice. "I am making myself available for PDP to use to defeat APC in 2023 general election. "I want election tomorrow,next tomorrow so that everybody will know where he belongs to. I have given everything to make sure PDP will win. Wike called the party to give him their ticket and be rest assured of Victory. He explained that his interest is not to get the position of vice president neither did he wants to be addressed as former presidential aspirant. He added that the worst thing that would happen to Nigerians would be for APC to win in the upcoming general election. "what PDP needs now is who will win election and not where you comes from and once the party gives me ticket, they can go to bed and sleep for victory. "I commend everybody who build flyovers and roads but I will like the person to show us his contractors. "My contractor is Julius Berger and I am ready to show who my contractors are. On his part, the former Secretary to Ebonyi state government,Mr Hyginus Nwokwu thanked wike for his contributions to the party and assure him of the party support. Meanwhile,the event were in attendance the governor of Enugu state,Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Senator Obinna Ogba, senator representing Ebonyi Central zone, Hon Sylvester Ogbaga, member representing Abakaliki/Izzi federal constituency,Chief Ali Odefa, South East PDP chairman, Hon Obasi Odefa Obasi,Hon. Franca Okpo among others.
