Concern Citizen Writes Open Letter To Buhari On Choice Of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu As Nigeria's President

A concern Nigerian, and indigene of Ebonyi State, Alhaji (Dr) Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah has written to president Muhammadu Buhari and appealed him to choose Dr Ogbonnaya Onu as his successor based on the antecedents and tracks record.

Alhaji Ajah in an open letter made available to our reporter described Dr Onu as a patriotic Nigerian needed in the period to reshape the country. The letter reads,"His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, President and Commander-in-Chief, Federal Republic of Nigeria. "May this letter meet you in the best of health and highest spirit of our nation services. "All elections are important, but we know in our bones the 2023 general election is more consequential. In this 2023 general election, character is on the ballot, decency, transparency and accountability are all on the ballot. Who we are as a country what we stand for and more importantly our future are all on the ballot. Millions are going to place their hopes in this election regardless of party. They are hoping for expanded prosperity and security. This is a unique election. "Sir, we would like one of your cabinet members that worked closely with you in the last 7 years to take over from you in "ASO ROCK" as you take a bow in 2023. We want a quality candidate to emerge as your successor. Someone with the charisma of John F Kennedy and the honesty of Abraham Lincoln. Permit me to introduce to you DR. OGBONNAYA ONU

"Yes, who is this Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu?.Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu was born on 1st December 1951, to the family of His Royal Highness, Late Eze David Aba Onu, Eze Adu of Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State in Nigeria. He did his primary education in his home town Uburu, Ebonyi state, and secondary school education in Mary Knoll College, Okuku Ogoja in Cross River State. The Nigerian Civil War interrupted his secondary education. At the end of the civil War in 1970, he had to continue his secondary education at Izzi High school, Abakaliki, Ebonyi state where he graduated with grade one with distinction and was the best graduating student. He did his high school education at the College of Immaculate Conception (CIC) Enugu where again he graduated as the best graduating student with distinction in physics and chemistry. He was admitted into the university of Lagos, Akoka as one of the pioneer students in the department of chemical engineering. He graduated from the University with first class Honour Degree in chemical engineering. He did his National Youth Service Corp(NYSC) in Kaduna state. It was from there he travelled to the United States of America (USA) where he obtained the Doctor of Philosophy Degree in chemical engineering in record time without passing through a master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley. While at the University, he held the following positions: •President of the African students Union •President of the Nigerian Association of northern California.
