Group Calls On PDP NWC To Bury Plan To Cancel Ebonyi Primary Election

By Our Reporters, Abakaliki The PDP National Youth Movement in Ebonyi state has called on the National working Committee to bury plans of cancelling the ongoing Primary elections in the state.
The group in a statement by the National Secretary, Engr Chinedum Elekwachi to the effect of a publication by the National publicity secretary described the plan as an affront to due process which is in total breach of principles of democracy which the party is known for. According to him " This calculated attempt is to further polarize the party, weaken her chances for electoral victory and to tactfully handover the ticket of the party to a certain individuals" "The NWC can't change the goal post at the middle of the game, we vehemently reject it and call on them to bury such plan. Our party has become a shadow of itself lately in Ebonyi state due to sponsored disaffection that the NWC has aided and we can't tolerate it further" "Party members has gathered to elect flagbearers for the party, resources been expended and energy consumed, how do they want to sustain this sacrifices of party faithful, he questioned. "In the interest of peace, NWC should activate mechanism to bring all stakeholders and party members to a round table discussion and avert the crisis they will be inviting by trying to postpone the ongoing primary elections"
