Opinion: 2023: Nigeria Needs Selfless Leader Like Ogbonnaya Onu

One man is just enough to make the needed history in Nigeria as a president, that man is Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu. History making doesn't require multitudes, it takes only individuals. To form the human race, God just needed Adam; to discover America, God just needed Columbus; to simplify car making, God just needed Ford; to publicize gulf, God just needed Tiger Woods; to transform Nigeria, God wants to use Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu. When God found a willing man "Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu" he made him return home from the United States of America after completing his studies to serve his father land.

Americans began giving their all, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu you have started giving Nigeria your all. Americans began laying down their lives, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu you left America which was convenient at the time and came back home to Nigeria which was more rewarding all because you understood patriotism. You laid down your future and life for a course that is not alive. You have given your country -Nigeria a dance salute, even though Nigeria lacks country -music. You have given your all in service even if some of the result will speak after your life time. You are a true Nigerian because at critical moments, you made sacrifices that are detriment to your personal comfort. Nigerians were praying for a visionary leader and God said, "let Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu be, and all was light". I know you are a happy man because you are fighting the Nigeria course. Williams Cowper said, " The only true happiness comes from squandering ourselves for a purpose". If the next generation will see further, it is because they stand on the shoulder of a great man like you. Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, you came to build bridges, You came to solve puzzles and you came to conquer mountains. Some see work as a means to earn, but you see work as a means to mend. Some said, life is to be enjoyed, but to you, life is a skill to be employed. To some, life is a game to be played but to you, life is a mission to be accomplished. You are a giant yet you work as if you are just starting. You have scored so much, yet you work as if you have lost so much. You are a victor that is not intoxicated by victories. You are already a hero, yet you work as if you are the least servant. Nigeria as a nation is in bondage, your coming is to free Nigeria from prison. Nigerians are like slaves without privileges, living like orphans without leaders, and like sheep without shepherds. We have no excuse to fail as a nation when you become our president. Indeed, your coming is to heal history, to address the moment, the pain and agony. In fact, you will save us from so much. Instead of seeking applause, you are working to be a plus every day. We need you because you starved yourself to work, you shortened your sleep to work. With you as our president, Nigeria will be blessed that a faraway blind could see. We Nigerians have no gold or silver to give to you to recompense your dogged commitment and unending sacrifices to this nation, neither do we have mars to build a mansion for you. We have no diamond to cast nor do we have emeralds to hang on your neck. All these are not worth the simple love you have shown for this great nation Nigeria. We are proud of you and all we ask of you is to be our president. If there is anybody worthy of our support, it is you Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu. If there is anybody we your supporters are boasting of, its you Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu. We cannot but let the whole world know that we remain committed to the course of you becoming the next president of Nigeria in 2023 by the Special Grace of God 🙏.
