2023: 'The Choice Of Better Ebonyi Is Yours'-APGA Guber Tells Supporters

The All Progressives Grand Alliance,(APGA) governorship candidate in Ebonyi state, Professor Benard Odo has said the choice of positive change in governance lies in voting candidates of the party in the upcoming general election.
Odo made this known while addressing newsmen in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.
Odo said Ebonyi has been rated as the poorest state in South East geopolitical zone but the challenge could be addressed with full participation of the people who should vote at all levels candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
He noted that his mandate is to invest in the people who are currently facing retrogressive in human capital development.
"Our interest is to invest in our people who should be competing with the global Community knowing that the highest resources is the people who will at end bring same to the society".
The former Secretary to Ebonyi state government noted that if elected would address the issue of cultism by introducing right government policies that promote right attitude towards governance.
Addressing issue of vote buying, the gubernatorial candidate maintained optimistic that the people would not sell theirs conscience and added that the party is putting all the necessary arrangements to ensure the people know why they're voting.
He also maintained that the new electoral law has made less the task before Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and assured the people that their votes would count.
He added his administration would sustain major infrastructural development "we'll sustain existing facilities on affordable and self sustaining strength while we review Ebubeagu activities to correct areas they're not doing well for they are our brothers".
Speaking on the area of zoning, Prof Odo hinted that the people are yearning for a better governance, hence, noted that effective representation should be a clandestine interest of the people which he said was captured in his manifesto.
He revealed that citizens of the state had suffered neglect to governance as such has put the people to the wrong alternative to livelihood which is street hawking and pledged to address the anomalies.
"Ebonyians who are into hawking will be given start up fund to embark on right business and we'll partner with appropriate political organization to deliver the job.
He hinted that the idea of autonomous local government system should be addressed with right policies that encourage conducive business environment.
"We want our people to be free in making their choices, we'll run a system that's seameless.
On his part, the Deputy Governor candidate of the party, Mr Nkata Chukwu appreciated the governorship candidate for founding him worthy to stand for the position.
The deputy governor, however, promised to be a true ally to work to fulfill the dream of the party in the state.
Also, the senatorial candidate of Ebonyi Central, Sen. Emmanuel Onwe described all the candidates as true partners and assured the people of true dividends of democracy if elected.
