2023: We're Ready To Takeover Ebonyi State-Labour Party Guber Candidate Boasts

By Nwogha Ndubuisi, Abakaliki Ebonyi labour party governorship candidate, comrade Splendor Oko Eze has vowed to claim the state to the party in the upcoming general election.

Eze made this known while addressing supporters at the party secretariat Abakaliki during the party primaries on Thursday,9th June,2022. The governorship candidate who doubles as the state party chairman noted that the invention of Biometric Data Capturing machines has made it possible for new breeds of better leaders in the Country's politics.

Eze noted that the country is at cross roads but with the presidential candidature of His Excellency,Peter Obi,the situation could be redeemed if the youth could get their permanent voter card and protect their votes. He applauded Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the new innovation of permanent voter card as such would go in long way to give citizenry the right for their votes to be counted in the upcoming general election. He encouraged Ebonyians to obtain their PVC while charging the youths to embark on advocacy across board to enable those who cannot access new media to get their voters card at the nearest INEC office.

Eze who said Labour Party is the last hope of Igbo man challenged the people not to betray their conscience as the party has all the strength to sweep all the political positions in the state. "Labour Party is an Igbo party and any Igbo man who voted another party is not a true Igbo man, because Peter Obi has done alot to rebuild our lost hope in the land and same will be reaffirmed in Ebonyi state. "I am the only man who refused Engr David Umahi's bribe in 2019 and that's why we are here today to tell Ebonyians that better leadership is possible with Labour Party where the need of the people is paramount to self interest. "The failure of our leader is a credit to Labour Party, we are ready to wipe tears of Nigerians who have given us reasons to correct abnormalies in the land".

Earlier, the electoral committee chairman,Hon Inya Pius declared Chief Splendor Eze as the gubernatorial candidate of the party and appreciated supporters for turning out en mass to support the exercise. Meanwhile the party adopted consensus primary who among Mr Ejiofor Vincent Chukwu, emerged senatorial candidate of Ebonyi North, Igwe Blessing, Ebonyi Central and Hon Juliet Chinenye Eze for South senatorial zone.

Others are, Hon. Onyinye Nnanna,Onicha west state constituency, Ikechukwu Eze, Ezza North-East constituency, Michael Ogbonnaya, Ebonyi East state constituency,Oluchi Ogbonnaya, Izzi East state constituency, Izhia Franklin, Ishielu North-West state constituency among others.
