Kidnappers Abduct Ebonyi Govt House Cameraman, Demand 50 Million Naira

Photographer attached to the Ebonyi State government house press unit, Mr Uchenna Nwube (a.k.a Daddy Muonso) has been reportedly kidnapped by suspected gunmen on his way from Abia to Abakaliki, along Aba Okigwe express Way.

According to reports, the victim alerted journalists in Abakaliki through his phone to notify them about his condition and said he was kidnapped on Wednesday around 7pm, while the the kidnappers were demanding the sum of 50 million naira ransom.

When contacted, the Ebonyi State Police Spokeperson, SP Chris Anyanwu, confirmed the incident and advised the victim to remain calm with his abductors, while calling on the general public to be security cautious at all times, especially while plying the highways. As at the time of filing this report, Mr Uchenda Nwube is still in the custody of the kidnappers, while an official Statement is yet to surface from the Ebonyi State Government in relation to the ugly development.
