We've all it takes to make Ebonyi Small Dubai-Action Alliance Guber Candidate

Action Alliance Governorship candidate in Ebonyi, Engr Chukwuma Nwandugo has said that mineral resources in the land if properly harnessed would make the state better than the United kingdom Emirates. Nwandugo who served as Commissioner For Works And Transport under Chief Martin Elechi emerged as a consensus candidate after his rival, Dr Chike Nwode stepped down for him few minutes to the primary on weekend.

In his acceptance speech, the Guber candidate thanked supporters for rallying round him and standing with the party who found him worthy as flag bearer. He stated that the party is rooted in the grassroot and the entire country, hence, would make the state proud with his candidatures. Engineer Nwandugo commended the national and state leadership of the party for their transparency during the primary exercise.

He pledged to ensure that his administration reflects the true human capital development and welfarism which the people are yearning for in the state. He pointed out that the party's logo which is crested with an eagle is a description of an unwavering vision of Action Alliance that's meant to benefit every nooks and crannies of Ebonyi state. The former Commissioner, however, commended past leaders of the state for their contributions towards improving lives of citizenry and added that the state is still searching for a government that would show true dividends of democracy to those at the hinterland.

"Ebonyi state is blessed with past wonderful political leaders who have demonstrated leadership in various capacities but the state is still yearning for that leader or governor who will make a change that will reflect positively on the lives of the masses; something that will make the common man know that they're part of the government,that the government house does not belong to one family, something that will make the people know that once you are given the mandate to lead that it's not giving to you to become a ruler but a leader. "I am aware that people of Ebonyi state is blessed with so much mineral resources but inside that natural resources there's very serious hunger in the land, people cannot be sure of their three, even two square meals a day and we have all it takes to make the state a little bit better than Dubai. "I have the understanding that in Ebonyi state,there's no parts of the land that's not good for agriculture and yet we are not doing what we suppose to do with our lands. "I am standing here to say that if I have the mandate from this room and we go out to inform the people of Ebonyi state and I finally get the sit as the governor that I will make an impact, produce an action that will marvel and benefits entire Ebonyi people. "When I was the Commissioner For Works And Transport, my doors were open for all; there was no discrimination between the poor and the rich;young and old, appointees and supporters and that same kind of attitude and leadership is what I will introduce in my government. "And I can assure you that, I am not the type who will say my own and do my own as I will always make sure that we will address every issues that concern the state by the people. It will not be lobbying over everybody,there will be space for all manner of suggestions and there will be space for everybody to partake in the governance of the state and I will be able to tell you that from the day I entered in as the Commissioner For Works that I knew that my days in the office were numbered and I will be able to treat everybody well so that I will still be friend to everyone when I leave the office. Earlier in his remarks, Apostle Cristodennis Chimezie, the state Secretary who spoke on behalf of the state Chairman of Action Alliance party,Mrs Juliet Uzoamaka, declared Engr Nwandugo winner of the primary election. Meanwhile our reporter observed that the electoral panel adopted option AA, while the exercise ended with supporters flying party's flag in admirations.
