2023: Anambra,Ekiti Elections Clear Evidences that votes now count-Ebonyi PDP Guber

Ahead of the 2023 general elections in Ebonyi State,the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate, Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, has told supporters that the recently held Anambra and Ekiti states Guber elections have proven that the electorates votes count.
Odii made this known while addressing members of the party in Abakaliki.
The Governorship candidate told supporters to go obtain their permanent voter card as that's the only way to choose rightful candidates in the upcoming general election.
He explained that indications have shown that the people are savoured with the system but maintained optimistic that the demonstration in the election held in Anambra and Ekiti states governorship contest have proven that masses votes now count.
He hinted that what supporters owe to him is to obtain their permanent voter card, vote and protect their votes at the polls.
He assured that his administration would be people's oriented governance and pledged to ensure that the state witness positive change if elected into power.
Corroborating Odii, his deputy, Senator Igwe Nwagu, said the collaboration of his candidature with experiences would be of great advantage to the party.
Senator Nwagu called on the citizenry to ensure they obtain their PVC as the Independent National Electoral Commission has extended date for obtaining of the card and pleaded them to queue into the chance.
""Let me thank the DG of Anyichuks Campaign Organization and those who are with us in the time of struggle to secure our ticket.
"The man who said that Ebonyi should be for Ebonyi and Anambra should be for Anambra as we should not borrow to make our governor.
"Let me confess that I never know this man Anyichuks until my brother Chris Usulor invited me to see him and he told me that I am to serve him as his Deputy, and I assure him that Ezzas are with him as he assured me that Ebonyi will not be the same again.
"I know that many of you are afraid that your votes will not count but I want to assure you that votes now count.
"And I can assure you that nobody will rig us out as long as this state is concern, many of you are afraid that we have an incumbent governor but the incumbent governor knows that I am involved in this election and also knows that the security is what I have been chairing in the past eight years as I know the security architecture of this country more than himself, hence, nobody will intimidate you but I have one thing to beg you; do not look for trouble but if anybody tries to intimidate you, get me involve.
"If you look at this ticket, you will see that it's well blended in the sense that, he's a business man and I am not a business man and not that he's a business man but a philanthropist and I am not a philanthropist.
"Some people will be talking that they're contesting ticket but the ticket has been contested and won".
Earlier, the embattled state party chairman, Barr.Silas Onu, in his remarks said Ebonyi remains PDP state and ready to deliver it's candidates in forthcoming general election.
"The number of people I see trying to identify with you His Excellency, I am convinced that in that day before 12:00 o'clock we are done with the election.
"We will invite our mothers to come and cook for us in celebration .
"This is not time for campaign, we will tell you that Odozi Obodo knows how to talk to your friends,girl friends, and friend's friend.
"Ebonyi state is PDP and remains for PDP which was why the struggle for the ticket was fierce and we have secured it.
Others who barred their minds including, Dr Onwe Solomon, former gubernatorial aspirant, Dr Augustine Nwazunku, Ebonyi Central District Senatorial candidate,Hon Laz Ogbee, harped on voter education and called on Ebonyians to use window period by INEC to register and revalidate their PVCs and vote for Anyichuks.
The event was witnessed by the party's presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar who was represented by Captain Yahaya Bello, former super Eagle player, Joseph Yobe, among others.
