2023: Umahi Accuses of Sponsoring Opposition Candidate In Ebonyi

A frontline member of National Consultative Front,(NCF) an umbrella body of several Nigerian intellectuals and citizens of thought which has been described as a major third force political movement, Mr Tanko Yunusa, has accused Engr David Umahi of anointing opposition party candidate against that of the All Progressives Congress in Ebonyi state.

The embattled national chairman Nigeria Conscience Party, Alhaji Yunusa made this known yesterday during media interactive session with Channel Television. According to the chat monitored by our correspondent, the party chieftain described as unhealthy and highest level of impunity as the sitting governor allegedly anointed another governorship candidate from one of the opposition parties in the state.

According to him, "We need to take this country out of the wood, look at the situation in our country. " Look at what is happening in Ebonyi state where a sitting governor is anointing another member of a political party who does not belong to his party and here we are, how long will we continue in such level of impunity". The movement made up of several Nigerian intellectuals and citizens of thought which has advance as alternative political front for the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming general election has announced the adoption of the Labour Party. Alhaji Yunusa who confirmed that nine political parties in collaboration with labour union national leadership of Ayuba Waba and that of Nigeria Traders Union counterpart are prepared to set a new political space in the 2023 general election.
