Benmickey Foundation Unveils Plan To Uplifts One Million Indigents Persons From Poverty in Ebonyi

Benmickey Grassroot Foundation has on Friday unveiled its plan to uplifts from poverty over one million indigent persons in Ebonyi state. This was made known in press briefing held by the state Coordinator, Mr Otu Chukwuemeka in Abakaliki. According to Mr Otu, the foundation which measures on human capital development targeted to empower not less than one million indigent persons in the state with incorporation of their international donors.
The state coordinator explained that the foundation with interest in human capital development kicked off community advocacy on importance of using treated water from reliable source and bemoaned that most communities still depend on pond to source their drinkable water. He expressed concern that the foundation having visited some council areas among Ezza North local government council are putting things in place to necessitate the installation of motorized borehole in the area.
He emphasized that the foundation with the collaboration of the foreign partners are prepared to unveil some skills that would help empower most vulnerable in the state. He further hinted that part of the foundation priority when fully in operation would be to ensure that all the school drop outs are fish out and enrolled back to school as plans are on offing to introduce 'operation catch them young' programme which would help the foundation to establish its presence in all the councils in the state.
