Ebonyi: Youths Taking Drugs, Smoking Weed Are Frustrated Graduates,Says Nwandugo

Ebonyi State Action Alliance Governorship candidate,Engr Chukwuma Nwandugo has linked increase intake of hard drugs by youths to joblessness and frustration orchestrated by poor governance in the state.
Nwandugo made the remarks while addressing Izzi Women Association during their meeting in Abakaliki.
He stated that the majority of the youths who take to the street among those abusing hard drugs are frustrated graduates who have no jobs after years of toiling in the universities.
The former Commissioner for works and Transport promised to industrialize the state if he succeeds as governor in the upcoming general election.
He explained women as true harbinger of change that the state need to bring in God's fearing leader into power using their voter card.
Corroborating Nwandugo, the party governorship aspirant in the recently concluded primaries, Dr Chike Nwode, described the gubernatorial candidate as the most qualified man to govern Ebonyi at the time.
He described the party flag bearer as the only candidate with certified ticket in the zone who's to produce successor to the ruling governor and enjoined Ebonyians to obtain their permanent voter card as to participate fully in the upcoming election.
"It is Ebonyi North and Izhi people turn to rule this State and I am taking this message home to tell my Ezza people to join this fight.
"I am an Ezza man and here to tell you that it's now your turn to rule this state, but what you owe Engr Nwandugo is to get your permanent voter card and vote Engr Chukwuma Nwandugo on the day of election.
"I know it's not yet time for campaign and when it starts will know how prepared we are, having witnessed a situation where a lady came to our meeting to appreciate him for paying her school fees convinced me that his goodwill has transcend beyond Ebonyi State.
"Izzi people is the landlord of the state and have given their support to other zones and now is the time to pay them back.
Speaking, the former Chairman,Ezza North Local Government Area, Hon Mrs Patricia Oduh, appealed to women to obtain their PVCs, hence, enjoined them to shun pattery gifts capable of ruining their children future after the election.
"It is the time for Izzi man to be governor of this state by virtue of equity, justice and all inclusiveness in the state.
"With situation surrounding the ongoing political sphere in the state we can testify that God has anointed Engr Nwandugo as the next governor of this state.
"We have seen that the only strength to challenge the trends starring our faces is to get our PVCs because it has given us power to decide who wins or looses in the upcoming general election.
"Take the message of PVC home and be conscious of those who will bring cubes of maggi to you with the intention to buy your votes, telling you that whether you accepted it or not that they'll win which is not true.
"It is now the time for Izzi people to support a man who will liberate the state.
In her remarks, Mrs Charity Ibaki applauded the governorship candidate for accepting to run for the position in the party.
The woman leader pointed out that the people of the north had supported the south and appealed to Ebonyians to reciprocate the gesture as to encourage inclusiveness and trust among the people.
Others who spoke including the party candidates of House of Representatives Izzi/Abakaliki federal constituency, Hon. Patrick Mbam (Omata) and Hon.John -prince Osmek,Afikpo North West state constituency who emphasized that the era of ballot box snatching and rigging are over, hence, challenged the women to ensure they obtain their permanent voter card.
The House of Representatives candidates told Izzi women that they are in the right position to decide who rule the state with their votes and added that the candidates still stands tall among other contestants who are in court struggling to secure their tickets.
