2023: PDP'll Rule Again-Party Chieftain

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain and member presidential/gubernatorial campaign council management committee media and Publicity, Engr Osita Kalu has affirmed that the party would emerged victoriously in 2023 general election. Orji disclosed this in an exclusive interview with our Correspondent on the state of Nigeria politics and prospect. What's your assessment of the foregoings in the political terrain?

"Achievements of Peoples Democratic Party speaks volumes and we can't shy away from it. I categorically can tell you that we liberalised the telecoms sector, pension reforms, banking consolidation, and setting up a number of institutions to fight corruption, EFCC, ICPC, Due Process Office and many more.

“In that 16 years we ensured that Nigerians were united but in the last 7 years under the APC, those things that put us together have been so bastardized. "We are very proud of running on our records and Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Dr Ifeanyi Okowa have seen the challenges bedevilling the country and they have mapped out strategies to reposition the country to function effectively. "Those who asked for a change in 2015 have seen that the change they asked for did not yield the dividends of democracy they so desired and i can assure you that Atiku-Okowa will make a difference. "The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has widely refused to campaign with Buhari APC failed campaign promises in 2015 which Tinubu was the architect and leading national leader of the party that failed the nation and rather resorted in using Tinubu achievement as Lagos Governor in 1999, forgetting that he was able to perform based on PDP strong policies and governance at the centre that brought us from military rule of obscurity to limelight. "The failure of APC Buhari led government was their ability to form Government and appoint Ministers early enough in the life of his Government thereby throwing the country into recession with the present health status of their Presidential Candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu if mistakenly elected will throw the country to a mess.

General low prices of commodities compared to now. 26. New Kaduna Central Market First Nigerian Drone Launched 27. First Nigerian Satellite launched 28. Do you think HE Atiku Abubakar will succeed considering that he's of opposition party? "PDP Presidential Candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar helped stabilised Nigeria economy after military rule as head of the country’s economic team. Atiku was Nigeria’s Vice-President between May 1999 and May 2007 during the tenure of then-President Olusegun Obasanjo, who took over from then-military leader, Abdulsalami Abubakar, signaling the commencement of the Fourth Republic. "You must give the PDP the credence that it was able to stabilise democracy in Nigeria and these two gentlemen (Atiku and Obasanjo) were the pioneer persons that did this job. Under People's Democratic Party, PDP many illustrious son's and daughters of Ebonyi were given Appointment at the National Level. "Specifically, it was PDP Government that made Sen Barr Anyim Pius Anyim the Senate Present of Nigeria and subsequently the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. "Under PDP, Federal Girls Government School, Izhiangbo, Federal University Ndufu Alike, Ikwo, were established. "Under PDP, sons of Ebonyi vis-a-vis Justice Ngwuta of blessed memory, Justice Uche Onyemenam and Justice Obande Ogbuinya were elevated to Supreme Court and Court of Appeal Respectively. Under PDP, some federal roads were given adequate attention in the State. PDP under Egwu, Elechi and Umahi, Ebonyi witnessed massive development. Under Egwu, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, College of Education, Ikwo were built to tackle illiteracy among our people. Ebonyians enjoyed free Education. Many studied oversea through the Scholarship that the State offered them. Basic Amenities were scattered across the State. Human Capital Development was topnotch. Farmers were empowered. Under Elechi, many bridges that linked to different communities were constructed, Scholarship were offered to first class graduates, pilot boarding Schools were built in each of the 13 LGAs, Rice Mill Industrial cluster in each of the Zone, Business was thriving, investors were much in the State with less taxation. Festula Centre was built by the wife is serving the needs of women across the country today. International Market was built, as well as the magnificent Secretariat called Ochudo City now Ochudo Centenary City. Under Umahi, Ebonyi was developed to the greatest imagination of anyone. Solid roads were constructed. Fertilizer plant was built. International Market was refurbished to international standard, Infrastructures were built and Ebonyi given facelift before he sojourned to All Progressive Congress, hence the situation in the State which has made it the poorest State. PDP has favoured Ebonyi than the current APC in all sphere. APC led Government milked our illustrious son's who has been part of the growth of the party without any iota of compensation. Dr Ogbonnaya Onu who was the brain behind the merging of parties that birthed APC in 2013 was ousted from National politics by APC. Engr Elias Mbam who has served the APC Government meritoriously was milked by APC cabals who promised to make him Ebonyi APC Guber Candidate. Sen Julius Ucha has been the forerunner of APC in the State was ousted and late given appointment that has no value or much benefit to Ebonyians. Gov Umahi despite the gifts and loyalty he gives to APC cabals, he was rubbed and betrayed out from APC Presidential Primary Election and our collective patrimony siphoned.
