Ebonyi 2023: Labour Party Reps, Senatorial Candidates Fume

...Accuse INEC of Connivance, Results Mutilation From Nwogha Ndubuisi, Abakaliki

Labour Party Senatorial candidate for Ebonyi North, Mr Anselm Enigwe and House of Representatives Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency, Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh have accused INEC of connivance with APC counterpart to mutilate election results. They accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of complicity with some power monger politicians to rewrite the entire results gotten from polling units in the area. This was made known while addressing newsmen at the INEC state Headquarters, Abakaliki.

Ezeh who explained that an agent of the All Progressives Congress, APC, hijacked the results of his party at the collection center noted that he escaped assassination few days to the election. "Yesterday, I found out that my results from Izzi LGA were mutilated, at a point agents of APC actually took control of the collection center, but be it as may, i still score above 40 percent at Izzi". "Since yesterday, my results from Abakaliki are been doctored under the very nose of Electoral Officer and Electoral Commissioner right inside their office. "They have moved us from Nkaliki after spending a whole night there, they took us to the headquarters and since yesterday till now, nothing has been done. "But they keep mutilating, deleting, and cancelling, but the fact is that I overwhelmingly defeated them in urban and entire Abakaliki. so,they have been trying as much as possible best to manipulate their way in. He added, "They killed a man and wounded three persons who are hospitalized yesterday at Izzi where they used extreme force against us and manage to chase us out, and today, they just realized that all the manipulation they did at Izzi is not taking them anywhere because of my bulk votes in Abakaliki

" Gentle men of the press, I speak as a concern citizen of Nigeria and a Candidate and wish to say that we can't allow this to happen and wish to let the national party chairman and entire world to know that what's going on in Ebonyi state is power monger conniving with INEC to murder democracy. "However, I wish to state that I have raised formal petition to the office of the REC and all my agents are on the run for their lives because they're hunting them knowing that we have all the copies of our results and can't change it. Also, the senatorial candidate, Mr Anselm Enigwe who accused INEC of shoddy job lamented that he got a report from his agents who were chased out of the collection center with two persons killed. He hinted that a Corps member who was on duty at Ndiebor Ishiagu Igbeagu ward 2 was shot at and currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Abakaliki. The senatorial candidate vowed to take legal action against the electoral umpire as to regain the mandate freely giving to him by his people if they succeeds in their plan to manipulate the results.
