Umahi Re-appointes Sacked Coordinators As Special Assistants

Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi state has sworn in 30 new Special Assistants among the sacked Development Centers Coordinators. Governor Umahi made the swearing in at the State Executive Council Chambers, Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki, Wednesday. Recall that the State governor had after 24-hours of the declaration of the new governorship elect announced the indefinite suspension of all DC Coordinators and Board members in the state.
The new Special Assistants included Augustina Nkechi Nwaovu, Obinna Nwaiboko, Baron Anya, Innocent Eluu, Chima Nnachi Okoro, Eze Ama Okoro , Victor Nwaobasi, Elias Igwe, Ikechukwu Nwafor and Kingsley Akam. Also, among are: Theodore Iheta, Emmanuel Ekuma, Martin Anari, John Ogodo, Afudike Uchechukwu Justice Agu Ogbonnaya, Mrs. Blessing Nweze, Victor Nwoke, Chijioke Nwuzor and Uche Nwankpuma Others included, Mrs. Roseline Nkwuda, Patrick Enyi, Tochukwu Uzor, Mrs. Sharon Nnennaya Umahi, Ejike Chibueze Agbo, Barr. Stephen Ogenyi, Arthur Ude Umanta Ikechukwu Anoke, Uchenna Ugwuta, Austin Udude, Steven Nweze, Winnie Dauda and Sebastian Ojiogu. Addressing the appointees after the swearing in, Governor Umahi charged them to redouble their efforts to leave indelible imprints in their different places of assignment.
"It is not a call to stay idle, if you don't go to the site that will be assigned to you, you will be out of our Government." Earlier, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Cletus Ofoke said the appointment of the 30 SAs was a reward package for former Coordinators of Development Centres for making inroads within the period of their reign.
Governor Umahi also inaugurated a transition Committee headed by the SSG, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala and Co-Chaired by the SSA Religious and Welfare Matters, Reverend Father Abraham Nwali, charged with the responsibility of documenting all the Projects, Assets and Liabilities of Government.
