Easter: Ebonyi Elder Stateman Preaches Love, Forgiveness

The former Minister of State for Power and Steel, Chief Goddy Ogbaga,OON has called on all Christian faithfuls and Ebonyians to emulate Christ's passionate life towards humanity. Speaking on the significance of the Easter celebration among christians, the former Minister noted that the celebration is a great moment for all Christian faithfuls to be passionate not just during the lengthen and holy week but also out of the season. He explained the need for love and forgiveness among christians and added that Christ did not fail to forgive even when He is been humiliated at the cross. Chief Ogbaga encourage christians to practice all the teachings of the season and advised against recklessness, adding that one must show responsibility in the face of personal weakness. Narrowing the message down to the happenings in Ebonyi State, the elder Stateman said that the election has come and gone even when some still sorting out their matters in the tribunal, hence, congratulated those that won in the national, governorship and State House of Assembly. He called for them to show sportsmanship, and called those in power to show accomodations. He further urged Ebonyians to support and obey those in authority as the biblical injunction is clear that "power comes from God and if God didn't want Christ to be in authority He wouldn't have allowed it, so,we should give respect and support to government at all levels. "And we encourage government as always to reciprocate and attempt to keep promises as made to the people so that they will be encouraged except where there's overwhelming reasons where you cannot keep to what you promised to do, and I wish our people happy Easter celebration 2023". he concluded
