Ebonyi: Information Commissioner Assumes Office, Harps On Workers' Reward System

Ebonyi state Commissioner for Information and State Orientation,Hon Jude Chikadibia Okpor has urged workers in the ministry to remain steadfast as his ministry would centered on reward for diligence and performances.
The Commissioner made the statement during the official resumption of office at the Cabinet office Old Government House, Abakaliki on Thursday,22nd June,2023.
Okpor commended staff of the ministry for their commitment to work, hence, hinted that the new administration led by Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has adopted reward system as a way to encourage quality service delivery.
He warned against absenteeism and added that every action of truancy would be highly resisted.
He emphasized that the new administration is focused on punctuality and hard work and hinted that efficiency in job delivery would be utmostly rewarded.
The Information Commissioner further explained that his office would strive to show leadership that would pivot the direction of the new administration and pledged to employ every vigour and strength as to project policies and programmes of the government.
He appealed to staff of the ministry and entire Ebonyians for support in projecting the image of the state as to maintain the lead in the comity of states.
Responding on issue bordering on the increase spread of hate speech on social media, the Honourable Commissioner noted that the ministry would take time to study law of the land in proffer lasting solution to the ugly menace.
Earlier,the Ministry's Director, Mr Anya Nkama Egwu, assured of cooperation in ensuring the optimal performances of members of staff in delivering core mandate of the ministry.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner, Engr Okpor introduced Mr Alex Oguta as his Special Assistant.
