Constituents Hail Ebonyi Lawmaker, As They End 3-Day Empowerment Programme

A three day Exclusive Youth and Women Empowerment Programme for the selected people of Ohaukwu South Constituency has ended in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly. Declaring the 1st batch training closed, the Deputy Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comrade Chinedu Onah said the training was organized by his office in partnership with Bank of Industry and Domijoe Consult for selected youths and women with the expectation that after the training, the beneficiaries will be financially equipped with a startup capital for any business of their choice. The Deputy Speaker maintained that the workshop has prepared the participants on available funding options, exposition on Agricultural Value Chain opportunities and entrepreneurship training skill assessment.

The State Deputy Chief Lawmaker disclosed that the gesture was in line with State Government vision to eradicate poverty in the state and assured his readiness to make people of his constituency to feel the impact of governorship through his life touching programmes. Comrade Onah urged the participants to continue to be supportive to administration of Governor of Ebonyi State His Excellency Rt. Hon. Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and the speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Chief Moses Ije Odunwa for more democracy dividends. The immediate past Commissioner for Commerce and Industry and the Chief Executive Officer Domijoe Consult, Dr. Stephen Odo said that chosen career requires total dedication to be successful and charged the beneficiaries to put in their best and ensure that they are established in their selected careers in the three days training. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Samuel Ali and Mrs. Stella Izekwe appreciated the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon Comrade. Chinedu Onah for organizing the training for the youths and women which they said has made them to acquire skills.
