Council Chair Advocates For Formation Of Female Football Team In Ebonyi

The executive chairman,Ivo Local Government Council, Hon Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna has called for the formation of female football team in Ebonyi state. He made the remarks while fielding question from Journalists at the Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki on Saturday.
The Ivo Council chairman commended the State Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for reuniting the state through Sports and assured the State Commissioner for Youths Development and Sports of their sincere support. Chief Ajah described the development as great factor of building greater future among the indigenous youths and pointed out that it's necessary that the state has both male and female football teams which according to him would be of advantage to the state with the Olympics stadium that's almost at completion.
He faulted the draw game played by his Ivo Local Government Area, and Edda and accused the counterpart of influencing the referee that awarded extra five minutes that Edda equalized the 1-1 draw. The All Progressives Congress, APC State chairman, Hon Stanley Emegha lauded Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the steps taken so far since assumption of office and hinted that the sporting activities has gone far in creating avenue for career development. He emphasized that football among other sporting activities are serious source of money spine that advanced countries are investing heavily in and called on participating players to be committed and ensure they play according to the rules. On his part, Edda Local Government Council chairman, Hon Ekuma Nkama commended his team and maintained optimistic that the Council's team would coast to victory.
