Ebonyi Assembly Member, Hon Nwakpu Doles Out Cash, Bags Of Fertilizer To Farmers

As part of his avowed determination to bringing democratic dividends to his constituents and compliment the efforts of His Excellency the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State Rt.Hon Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as scripted in his campaign manifesto christened "The People Charter of Need" The Honourable Member Representing Ikwo North Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon Ifeanyi Nwakpu empowered farmers across the 10 political wards of his Constituency with over 100 bags of fertiliser charging beneficiaries to continue demonstrating support to the government of Ebonyi State noting that all his campaign promises which includes youths empowerment, inclusive government,infrastructural face-lift, and Agricultural development will continue to form integral part of his tenure in office.

Speaking at the event Hon Ifeanyi Nwakpu charged Beneficiaries to make optimal use of the opportunity to advance farming in the Constituency and charged youth to shun societal vices ;restiveness, criminality and drug abuse rather they should continue supporting the government of Ebonyi State to achieve together the Ebonyi of our choice The State lawmaker appreciated the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt Hon Chief Moses Ije Odunwa for ensuring the approval of the state government for the fetilizers distribution.

He stressed on unity and peaceful coexistence of Ikwo people and that he will continue to run an all inclusive governance in the Constituency. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the chairman of Forum of APC ward chairmen,Hon Osita Ogidali eulogized the Honourable Member for being a true leader whose words reflect his actions and a party man who knows the needs of his people, stating that its the first of its kind for a House of Assembly member to embark on such a profitable charity display and reinstate the commitment of all wards chairmen and party faithfuls to flag higher the banner of the party at all cost. He thanked the Honourable Member for his thoughtfulness and the remarkable achievement he has laid down just within few months in office and his attentiveness in bettering the live of his constituents,

Hon Ogidali who lauded the lofty initiative of the State lawmaker assured that they will use the gift of the fertilisers to improve farming in the Constituency and promised to continue in the crusade for support to the government of His Excellency Rt Hon Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in Ebonyi State. In the related development the member representing Ikwo North constituency and the Chairman, House Committee on Solid Mineral Development, Hon Ifeanyi Nwakpu has feted his constituents for his electoral victory at the 2023 general elections. At the occasion attended by party stalwarts and faithfuls, the lawmaker donated two cows and an undisclosed amount of money while himself received gifts from the people. Hon. Ifeanyi Nwakpu expressed gratitude to his constituents and reaffirmed his commitment to the needs of the people as he intends introducing new brand of politics that will prioritize the needs of the people. He called for supports to both the state government under the leadership of Rt. Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly Rt. Hon Chief .Moses Ije Odunwa. Responding, the Councillor representing Ndiegu Echara ward 1, Hon. Iruka Igwe commended the lawmaker adding that his representation has brought a new dawn into the livings of the constituents and pledged their unalloyed supports to the lawmaker. Elders across the ward offered prayers for the lawmaker while cultural displays and refreshments were held to round off the ceremony. The ceremony was attended by dignatories across the constituents including past and present political appointees in the area.
