Tribunal: Don't go to Appeal, Umahi advises Obi

The Minister for Work and former Governor of Ebonyi State Engr. David Umahi has urged the Labour Party Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general elections Mr Peter Obi not to go to appeal court. Umahi stated this while addressing newsmen shortly after a courtesy visit to the Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru at the new government House centinary city Abakaliki, the State Capital.

According to him, Peter Obi has "served the purpose of John the Baptize for the divine coming of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu' adding that God has fulfilled the purpose to which he (Obi) was brought to do, "I advised him (Obi) not to go to appeal, am not a lawyer, my son here is a lawyer. He has interpreted the judgment and he has left no hope for any appeal. Umahi continued: "Those judges are spirit, they went into everything just like breaking a coconuts, you will get the water and the nut and also, I will advise him (Obi) not to go to appeal court" The minister however, mocked obi of not even coming close to second at the 2023 Presidential poll "He is not even second, he is third. He is our brother. Umahi called on the people of South East to come together and support President Tinubu's led administration in their own interest, adding that President Tinubu made the zone number one Minister in the Country. "Let the South East come together and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration, he made us number one Minister, even when we didn't vote very well for him. "President Tinubu will be a divine President. God has purpose for everything, the was John the baptize, the was Christ and there is still Christ" "Before now God told me that Tinubu will be Nigeria President, I prayed and God answered. It was tough here in South East, but through the grace of God we made it. He commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his human oriented administration and assured of his support to move the State forward. "I am very happy that this your Governor believe in God's direction. We didn't make mistake in bringing Gov. Nwifuru. There are former Governors that cannot go back to their homes, but I am in my home today. I am very happy the way I met him. There are some people when they left office of the Governor, they will like to be Governor that is not what life gives" Umahi stressed.
