Strike: PASAN Grounds Ebonyi Assembly

The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, (PASAN) has embarked on nationwide industrial action following the expiration of the notice earlier given to the Federal Government to implement financial autonomy to all the legislative Houses in the Country. Speaking before the close down, the chairman of the Association, Ebonyi State chapter, Comrade Mrs Regina Oshibe said that the peaceful industrial action was meant to right the wrongs.

Oshibe called on the law enforcement agencies to help in the protection of members of the Association as far as the industrial action lasted. She added that the 21-days ultimatum given to the government to react expired on the 27th October 2023 and that the association has no other alternative than to embark on an indefinite strike starting from Monday 30th of October. Comrade Oshibe admonished members of the association to adhere strictly with the directives.
