Verdict: Congratulate president Tinubu, S'E Muslim community tasks Obi, Atiku

The South East Muslim Community Forum, umbrella body of all the South East Muslims led by Dr. Sheikh Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah has praised the verdict of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on the presidential elections' that instilled president Bola Ahmed Tinubu's victory calling on Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to congratulate Tinubu in the spirit of sportsmanship.

In a statement issued by the Secretary - General of the forum, Engr. Isiaka A. Salmon shortly after the judgement, and made available to Journalist in Abakaliki, the group admonished Mr. President to continue to see Nigeria as his constituency and run an all inclusive government devoid of tribalism, ethnicity, religion, faith, and other divisive tendencies. The group noted that the judgement which was delivered by the Justice John Okoro-led panel that affirmed President Bola Tinubu as the rightful winner of the election has successfully laid to rest, all the issues surrounding the presidential elections and placed the president on a strong footing for the purpose of confronting the challenges facing the country.

The South East Muslim Community Forum (SEMCOF) call on the presidential candidates of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the LP, Mr. Peter Obi to openly congratulate Mr. President in the spirit of statesmanship and subsequently join him in moving the nation forward. While subsequently pledged her continued loyalty to Mr. President, and all the constituted authorities in their efforts to build an egalitarian society which all Nigerians can be proud of.
