Ebonyi people in diaspora pass vote of confidence on Nwifuru

Ebonyi people in Lagos state under the auspices of Association of Izhi-Nnodo Clan Lagos state of Nigeria,AICON has saluted the governor of Ebonyi state, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru over his leadership strides.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the solidarity visit at the new Government House Centenary City, Abakaliki, the AICON national president, Comrade Edwin Ebili thanked the governor for the warm reception.
Ebili who said the visit was to officially congratulate the governor for his tribunal victory and for empowering one hundred Lagos hawkers of Ebonyi Indigenes selected from the 13-LGAs of the state and were given 2-million each. He described the government plan to rescue one thousand five hundred hawkers away from the streets as a good omen and admonished beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money. He enjoined elders and youths in the state to embrace the policies and programmes of the government inorder to enable the governor to fulfil His People's Charter of Needs manifesto. The national president Development Association of Ebonyi State in Innocent Nwangbo appreciated the state governor for his transparent and inclusive governance in his appointment and empowerment programmes, challenging other leaders in the country to emulate the gesture. He called on indigenous business owners to take advantage of the new tax law to invest in the state as a way to discourage street hawking and agitation among the youths. Corroborating Nwangbo, the representative of Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FON, Lagos state chapter, Hon Chibuzor Iziogo and Chief Executive Officer, All Bright Supermart, Mr Stephen Epete appealed to Izhi speaking people and entire Ebonyians to rally round the governor as he has good plans for the state. In their separate interview, the traditional ruler representing Ebonyi LGA in Lagos state, His Royal Highness, Eze Osondu Augustine Nwego, His Royal Highness, Eze Cyprian Nwekee, representing Izzi and that of Abakaliki local government area, His Royal Highness, Eze Simeon Aziewa called on stakeholders of Izhi extraction to unite together as to project and defend the image of the people in good lights. They advised the youths to shun any act capable of jeopardizing their future and policies of the government, while encouraging them to strive to build themselves as to compete favourably at the global markets.
