Just in: 6-year old Munachi cheats death, as fire razes resident of Umahi's former aide

A 6-year old Munachi Chris Uchaji has miraculously cheated death in the early morning of Tuesday, 12th December,2023 when a mysterious fire engulfed a storey building belonging to the former Commissioner for Solid Mineral Development, Mr Chris Uchaji. The ugly incident which occured at No.13 Onor Street, Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital razed down a storey building and resident of former Umahi's aide, Mr Chris Uchaji.

Speaking with the former Commissioner, Uchaji said that he was at the stadium alongside the wife for morning exercise when he received distress call from his security man that his family house was on fire. According to him, the fire destroyed property worths millions of naira, but was lucky to had rescued his six years old daughter who was sleeping inside the room where the fire engulfed.

"It's unfortunately early this morning that I went for sports at the state stadium together with my wife and we were coming back when I received call from my security man shouting,fire, fire. "We quickly rushed only to see many people on rescue mission while see that the whole house has been engulfed" "I suspected,it is electrical spark and it started from my wife's room where one of my six years old daughter was sleeping.

"The intensity of the fire was high and it spread to other rooms, causing a massive damages, but thank God there's no life lost. "I thank God for people's good will, and the fire service. Though, the state fire service came here, but their water finished early which on the intervention of federal fire fighters, they were able to control the fire.

"The damage was monumental; the entire roof,furnitures and entire households with wall falling. So, property worth millions of naira was damaged and I am calling on good spirited individuals, National Emergency Management Agency, Ebonyi state government to assist us on this trial moment.he said
