Ebonyi: Kidnappers abducts 2 FRSC Officers

Two officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps,FRSC have been confirmed to be abducted by suspected gunmen along the Abakaliki-Enugu expressway.

The Ebonyi FRSC sector Commander, Henry Igwe made the disclosure while addressing newsmen in Abakaliki, adding that the two officers were abducted on 8th March, 2024. He stated that they were kidnapped on their way to Enugu State after closure of work at the FRSC office in Nkalagu. According to him, "Contacts were made and it was established by their families that they never got home. "The families said that some people contacted them that they were kidnappers and were demanding ransom. "The negotiations are between the families and kidnappers and as an organization,we have been doing the much we can." Igwe said.
