Amana/Ohankwu: Gov Nwifuru moves to end age-long rift, erects pillars on boundary land

Ebonyi state government has erected pillars at the border land for the two communities of Amana and Ohankwu in Ezza South and Ikwo local government area of the state.
The state Commissioner for Border Peace and Conflict Resolution, Ilang Donatus while addressing our Reporter said the erection of the pillar would bring permanent peace in the area.
Ilang, explained that the team was in the border community to inspect the pillars erected by the ministry of lands targeted to enhance permanent peaceful among the two communities of Ohankwu and Amana communities.
He commended the implementation committee constituted by the state governor, Francis Nwifuru for their exceedingly performance and said that the pillars would remain significant in the mind of the people.
He enjoined the two councillors to spread the message of peace across their wards and appreciated the stakeholders of the two communities for their cooperations and support in ensuring that the decision of the state governor are achieved by the committee.
Speaking, the Coordinator of Ezza South East Development Center, Mr Chita Moses and Ikwo East Development Center Coordinator, Apostle Emmanuel Mbam commended the state government for bringing permanent peace in the border community adding that the people are grateful for the decision and promised to spread message of peace in the community.
Meanwhile, Surveyor Okpani Augustine, office of the surveyor general thanked the two communities for their support and enjoined them to embrace the peace initiative of the state governor who wants the best for the people.
