Breaking: Six missing at Ebonyi-Benue boundary community
Six people have been reportedly missing at Ndebor-Nomeh, Ebonyi-Benue boundary community of Ado local government area of Benue State.
A statement from the community leader , Chief Okebili Nwoka, the six family members started missing on weekend when they visited some Fulani herders stationed at the boundary community to buy burial cow for their late in-law, late Ogbuagu Ngbo of Nkaleke village.
Chief Nwokwa named the victims to include: Mr Obinna Ajah, Aloysius Ajah, Titus Nwogha, Friday Nwuzu, Emeka Okwor, and Anthony Ibina who are both from Onuebor-Nomeh.
He narrated that the victims was escorted by one of the Fulani herders when they were going to the cow selling point, thereafter, they were reached to know sudden delay on the way but all their phones were switched off.
He further explained that the victims have been traced to Akpurata village where they were suspected to had been ceased by Effium warlords who have been in communal war with Ezza people.
Speaking on phone, the Coordinator of Effium Development Center, Hon Nwogbaga Ogbonna who confirmed the incident described the missing persons as his brothers and explained that the matter has been reported to Ado Local Government Headquarters Police where through intelligence has arrested two suspects.
