Ezeukwa DC Revives Children's Day Celebration Eight Years After

The management of Ezeukwa Development Center in collaboration with Ebonyi State government on Monday 27th May, 2024 resuscitated the activities associated with Children’s Day celebration after eight years of their abandonment.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at Ezeukwa Development Center Secretariat in Onicha LGA, the Coordinator of the Center, Hon (Mrs.) Caroline Ogbu Nnemdi commended the state government under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Buldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for providing her subjects with the opportunity. She charged the children to remain focused by avoiding acts capable of causing violence or destroying their careers as that would go a long way in making both their individual homes and the society peaceful.
“Involving oneself in illegal association as cultism leads to terrible fate but if one comes to my office for an assistance rather than engaging in illegality, I will not hesitate to help to the person. “Additionally, every success is a product of hard work, thus, I am advising you to take your studies seriously so that you will attain the height of your respective aspirations” she said. Hon. (Mrs) Caroline Ogbu Nnemdi applauded the parents and the teachers for making their children available for the programme and commended the community heads and the stakeholders for their morale support. The Chairperson of the Center, Mrs. Igwe Ukamaka expressed joy for the restoration of the event in the area and commended the Coordinator for the feat. “We have nearly forgotten the celebration and this is why so many persons were amazed immediately its announcement was made.
“In a nutshell, we are thanking the state governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and his amiable wife, Mrs. Maudline Ukamaka Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (Nne-oha) for given the directive by which Ezeukwa DC children were provided with the chance to join their counterparts across the Federation in the event” she explained. Mrs. Obiageri Victor Okike, Head of Department, Education and Social Welfare and Mrs. Maria Chukwu, the Headmistress of Ugwu Odida Ukwu Community Primary School applauded both the Coordinator and the state governor for the event and appealed for its continuity.
