Gov Nwifuru Commissions skills training center for youth

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru has commissioned an ultra-modern capacity skills acquisition center for the training of the youths in the state. Performing the flag off in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital,the governor, Nwifuru called on youths to engage in skills for a better society.

Nwifuru who was represented at the function, the state Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Mr Richard Idike commended the national president Izhi Nnodo Youth Forum, comrade Ben Nwovu for the good work and described skills as a thing of necessity. He enjoined youth of Izhi-Nnodo extraction and entire Ebonyians to embrace skill for self development and reliance.

The national president Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum, (INYF)comrade Ben Nwovu said the program was part of the event marking the end of the transition of his eight years on seat and eulogized the state governor, Rt Hon Francis Nwifuru and members for their sincere support. Comrade Nwovu added that the skills acquisition center was part of the projects attracted by the former senator representing Ebonyi North district, Dr Sam Egwu and called on the people to make proper use of the center for optimum results.

"I want to thank all the members of this noble organization for their sincere support which made it possible that there is peace with no form of attempt of impeachment, crisis nor protest, but support from all nooks and crannies of the clan with plans to better our youths throughout the eighth years which by the grace of God,on 30th of June, there will be election and new executive will emerge. "My prayer is that our youth should continue to give equal solidarity to whoever that will succeeds me as who much is given, much is expected.

Comrade Nwovu who said that seeing peace within the period in office in all parts of the clan was a laudable achievement and called on the youth to sustain the measure. He, however, appealed to Ebonyi state government and other political leaders in Izhi clan to come to the aid of the association by ensuring that experts are attracted to train the youth which are in line with governor Nwifuru's manifesto on charter of people needs mantra. "Alot was achieved during my tenure especially in the area of security in my noble clan, Izhi Nnodo. Most times, crisis tries to emerged but with the help of Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum, it was curtailed. "The crisis between Izzi Nnodo and Crossverians with my intervention it didn't last. The crisis between Izzi and Ikwo, with my intervention,it didn't last and above all, the solidarity we've been giving to all government in power and that's why in most cases people do address us as, any government in power because we're not ready for opposition.

He added: " And, that's why from my inception, had been very supportive in every government that comes to power from senator Sam Egwu to Engr David Umahi and the ongoing administration of our own brother and a member of this noble Association, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru. " However, today has been a very special day as it is all about commissioning of projects attracted by the immediate past senator representing Ebonyi North zone, Dr Sam Egwu, a 100-capacity skills acquisition center where our people can acquire skills training and we appealed to the Ebonyi state government and our state governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as well as political appointees to help us attract experts who will train our youths on skills and self development so that the beautiful edifice will not outlive the purpose it was built.

"Secondly, we commissioned an ultra modern two bedroom flat I built for a family of nine when I saw that a thatch house they were living fell and when I saw it, was eyesore and with the assistance I get from his Excellency and others, I started building the house for them which we have succeeded building. "Also, during my time, we acquired a temporal office and permanent office as well which with the support of individuals and government will raise the place. "However, I will not stop thanking my wife who has always been there for me. On behalf of my family, I sincerely appreciate everybody, my Personal Assistant and others who have been there to make sure Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum succeeds.

In an interview, one of the beneficiaries of the national president kind philanthropical gesture and indigene of Nduruku Amegu,Mr Lawrence Nwifuru appreciated comrade Nwovu for building a bungalow for the family and prayed God uplifts him with higher political position. Our Correspondent reports that the governor commissioned a bungalow for an indigent family and skill acquisition center that comprised of 50-capacity space for those who wish to learn hair dressing, fashion designing and other offices as the event attracted all members of Boards of Trustees,elders council, state working committee, friends and well wishers.
