Police Nabs Woman Who Duped Niece in Abakaliki

The Ekeaba Police Division has arrested one Mrs Ngozi Uneke, a native of Amenu in Uburu community of Ohaozara local government area who allegedly duped her husband's Niece of One hundred and thirteen thousand naira.
Nnenna, an accidental victim and an amputee who narrated her ordeal was allegedly approached by the Uncle alongside his wife who promised to offer her juicy red oil business. According to her, she quickly rushed and borrowed the total sum of #100,000 after earlier giving her #8,000, as part payment of collecting loan hoping that they had come to support her condition.
She explained that the suspect ran away with the money and switched off her phone after she promised to buy the oil and resell for her with good profit at Port Harcourt, River state. The victim who lamented that the suspected fraudster ran away with the money added that they have been using church's chapel to cover their shabby deal until luck ran out of the woman when security men arrested her in Abakaliki. She urged security agents to persecute the suspect so as to serve as deterrent to others. On her part, the suspect, Mrs Ngozi Uneke admitted that she collected the money and appealed for leniency as she would pay the money before the weekend.
